Finished!

After a minor disaster, I got up to answer the door without putting the lid on my highlighter pen, you can see where this is going, I came back to discover the highlighter had fell on the fabric. I'm sure if you look closely you might still see a slight pink blob which I am hoping won't be visible once it is framed. I scrubbed and scrubbed and eventually got the highlighter off my white stitches. There was a lot of muttering I'm surprised you didn't hear me. I nearly threw it out in utter annoyance at myself.

Anyway I stitched and stitched with the help of ISHW I have finally finished Vervaco's Temptation.

I have to say I'm really pleased with it. Didn't like some of the thread it seemed to keep knotting, driving me mad. I enjoyed stitching this. I did have a couple of wobbles where I hated it but got through them especially with the lovely comments I have received whilst stitching it.

I will take her to the framers after I have washed and ironed her, again.

Stitching might be a bit scarce this week as we are going on holiday the week after next and I need to sort out the clothes we are going to take with us and have a few household jobs to catch up on. If I do manage to do some stitching it will be on LHN's Simple Joys which I am taking on holiday with me.

Until next time, happy stitching

she's lovely well done on such a gorgeous finish!! :) if you pop a sterilising tablet (the sort you can get for babies bottles, dummies etc from the chemist) into the water when you wash her again the faint marks should come out and your fabric will have a crisp white-ness again :)

I practically had my nose pressed against the screen and couldn't see any pink that wasn't meant to be there.
Congratulations on a gorgeous finish, what's your plan for your next project?

Gorgeous finish . Well done for persevering . I couldn't see a pink blob , but a bit of white spirit on a cotton bud may help .X

It looks really pretty. The shading in this project worked really well- it looks really detailed, but you can still tell it wasn't one of those stitches where the pattern called for a ridiculous number of threads to shove into a 10x10 stitch square. Congratulations on finishing her!

I'm so pleased you have her finished - stunning!
I don't see any marks - stain devil took highlighter off a wool skirt and silk sweater when I had a mis-hap once. Obviously you would need to test it first.
