All is Jolly!

I started the week stitching All is Calm, my monthly ornament SAL with Angela. Unfortunately it met with a spillage, not quite sure how as it was in a plastic folder, but I couldn't get the stain out so over the weekend, in the garden out in the sunshine, which was lovely, I stitched Miss Crescent's Jolly which was in the JCS magazine. I have to admit I thought it said Joy and so changed to the 'l' slightly. I loved the colours in this one, I used the recommended DMC, and stitched it on 14ct white aida. I will make it up sometime soon, not quite sure how yet though!

Next up is my progress on the Tea Room SAL again with Angela. I have finished the tree. I will be working on the bench and the wording this week and hopefully some of the border.

Until next time, happy stitching

So sorry you got a stain on your stitching. I really hate when that happens and no matter what you do you just can't get it out.

I love your other pieces. I like the colors in both of them.

The 'Jolly' ornie seems very popular at the moment - I've seen it stitched on several blogs! Love the colours in it. I like what you did with the 'l's. I'm looking forward to seeing how you finish it.

What a shame about All is Calm. Nice finish on Jolly, I read it as joy the first time I saw it in the JcS mag too!

Sorry to hear about All is Calm. What a shame it wouldn't come out. Jolly is lovely. I've chosen that one for my April ornament.

The Tea Room is looking gorgeous.

Jolly looks great! A stitching group I am in is doing that one as a Christmas exchange where you can finish it anyway you want to. It will be interesting to see how they all turn out.

Sorry about your spillage, but you sure did take that lemon and make lemonade!

Jolly sure is cute! Whoops on the first ornament! Thank the stars it was just a little ornament piece and not a BAP! Horrors!

Hopefully, you weren't too far along on All Is Calm before the spillage took place, Lesleyanne! That must have been very frustrating!! Your Jolly ornament is, well, quite jolly--very fun colors :)

How frustrating to have a stain on your stitching. I have gotten chocolate and coffee on mine - must be more careful! Jolly turned out very nicely. Love your SAL stitching!

Oh my! How did the spillage happen if it was in a plastic folder? Sorry that happened... maybe oxi-clean or something?

Your stitching looks lovely - I like the colors of Jolly - very happy Christmas.
