Home Sweet Home Finished!

I've just finished CCN's Home Sweet Home whilst watching Dancing on Ice. This was a lovely piece to stitch, I really enjoyed it. I'm going to take this to the Framers so that it can get put up in the hall as quickly as possible.

It leaves a blank slot on week four and I may do a poll because at the moment I just can't decide what to stitch next so many things are screaming at me to be stitched. I think I want to do a smaller design so that I leave myself a slot to stitch any birthday cards I may want (won't be many this year, just a few special people) or if I don't finish my monthly LHN Ornie then I will have a space to fit it in to ensure I keep on track.

It's time to go back to week one on my rotation, Christmas Design SAL, Lizzie Kate's Special Edition Ho, Ho, Ho. I'm loving this and if I do as well as I did last time on this piece I may have another finish this time next week but we will wait and see.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Wohoo First Finish of 2010!

I have finished the second ornament in the LHN Ornie series for my SAL. I carried on after the weekend thinking I could finish it on Monday but it has took until today to finally get it done. It is stitched on 32 ct Antique White Jobelan using DMC threads. I enjoyed this one and I have had an email to say the next one will soon be on its way. I am now going to carry on with CCN Home Sweet Home as per my rotation.

Happy Stitching until next time.

Row of Love & Pear Tree Progress

Here's my progress of Dimensions Row of Love. I struggled with this this week. I have made a mistake and have had to fudge it so I lost a bit of my enthusiam for it. So I have put it away for now and will continue when it is next in my rotation. I will continue tonight with my LHN Ornie SAL Pear Tree. This is where I am at the moment - not a great deal of progress but some. I think I was feeling a bit unsettled because there are so many different designs screaming at me that I want to do. I have gone from having one on the go that would probably take up nine months of the year to having a rotation and four or five on the go so I think I need a quick finish. I want to work on everything particularly Carol's designs from iStitch. I have got most of them and seeing other people's progress on them make me want to start one. I am hoping that if I get Pear Tree done I can then start one of them. I am thread for Sew Blue, Sew Red and Sew Pink so it's decisions decisions for me lol.

Until next time, Happy Stitching.

Poppy Progress!

This is my progress on Lanarte's Poppy. I didn't seem to get an awful lot of time during the week to sit down and stitch so stitched on this Saturday (not much) and Sunday when it felt like I had made much more progress. This meant that I didn't touch my LHN Ornie so will have to crack on with it next weekend before the next on comes out.

I have been thinking about the months with five weeks in it. As my rotation is a four week rotation I was thinking about what I could do in week five and I have to say I was VERY tempted to have a new start and just work on it when there was a five week month but decided that I would work on my Lanarte Poppy for the extra week as it missed out for such a long time. Surprising what pops into your mind when your stitching lol!

I have ordered some linen (I think) in 28 ct Summer Khaki and Ice Blue. I brought the Summer Khaki so that my Lizzie Kate christmas designs are all on the same fabric (I think I may have an idea how these could be framed together) and the ice blue is for the LHN Ornie "He's a flake" and a couple of other snowmen I have in my stash to do.

Until next time, happy stitching.

Lizzie Kate Ho Ho Ho Progress!

This is my progress for the Christmas Design SAL which is the first week of the month (Monday to Friday). It is Lizzie Kate Special Edition 2007 Ho Ho Ho. I was very pleased with my progress.

I received my second ornament for the LHN Ornie SAL this week and made a start on it on Saturday. I hope to do some more today after I have tackled mount ironmore and cooked the dinner.

On Monday it is week two of my rotation and so I get to work on my Lanarte Poppy which I haven't worked on since mid July so am really looking forward to stitching on it. The picture below is where I was when I last stitched on it. I can't believe it has been so long.

We still have snow here but we haven't been as badly hit as some other parts of the UK.

Hope you all have a good weekend and happy stitching.

New Start!

This is where I am tonight on my new start for the New Year. It is CCN's Home Sweet Home and I started it on New Year's Day. It is stitching up nice and quickly and is very enjoyable. It will have to go away for now as tomorrow it is the Christmas Design SAL and I will be stitching on my Lizzie Kate's Ho Ho Ho.

I have jigged my rotation slightly. Firstly because the Christmas Design SAL is the first week of the month and then I noticed I hadn't worked on my Lanarte Poppy since July and so decided that needed to be brought forward in the month. You can see my new rotation on the right hand sidebar.

I hope you have had a good start to the New Year. We have put all our decorations away and are ready for school and work to start tomorrow.

Happy Stitching.
