Page Update and Tusal

Firstly I would like to thank you so very much for all the lovely comments on my framed Mini Be Good for Goodness Sake.  I can't tell you how much it made my day to read them.

I have finished the first page of Ornament Christmas Dreams and am very happy with it only another eight pages to go!

It is also time to show my Tusal jar again.  This is a SAL organised by Daffycat and if you click the link it will tell you all about it.

I am currently back to stitching on Mini Ariadne and will be back when I have completed the page I am working on.

Until next time, happy stitching.

January Tusal!

Happy New Year to you all. I hope 2014 will be a good year for everyone.

Here is my Orts jar at the end of December. I have put these all in a bauble and now have an empty jar which I haven't photographed.

I have started my New Year New Start. It is a Heaven and Earth ornament design called Christmas Dreams. This is what it should look like when it is finished.

This is my start, not a lot.

I have been thinking about my stitching in 2014 and I am not going to set any strict goals but would like to finish the above ornament which I think if I stitch on it every Sunday it should be doable. I would also like to make significant progress on Mini Ariadne. I will stitch on Mini Rose during the Olympics and hope to finish page one. If I can do this I will be very happy at the end of 2014.

Until next time, happy stitching.

Chelsea Logo Framed & Tusal

I have now collected my husband's birthday gift from the framers.  I am very pleased with how it has come out and he was thrilled when I gave it to him yesterday.

It is also Tusal time again with Daffycat.  Here are my orts, lots of blue from the Chelsea logo and on top of that there is some threads from Mini Be Good for Goodness Sake which I am going to work on for the foreseeable future as I only have three partial pages which are very confetti heavy.

Until next time, happy stitching

Tusal - November

Another month, another picture of my orts, on the right date too.

There is a lot of blue and white because of the Chelsea Logo I am stitching.  I have finished another page but forgot to take a picture before I started the next and hopefully last full page.

When I nipped outside to take a photo of my orts I noticed my Mother's Day rose is in flower, not a sight I expected to see and if you look closely you can see some more buds.  I don't know whether they will flower as it is getting colder but still a lovely sight to see on this cold November afternoon.

I am in a bit of a blogging slump with reading and leaving comments.  I will hopefully get caught up soon.

Until next time, happy stitching and thank you to those that leave comments on my posts.  I really do appreciate them and don't say it often enough.

Tusal - October

Yay!  I am posting on the right day!  Here is my Tusal for October, to find out more information about this pop over to Daffycat's blog.  As you can see it is mainly threads from Mini Be Good for Goodness Sake.  I thought I would photograph it next to my sedum just for a change.

As we were going away for the weekend to celebrate our 21st Wedding Anniversary I haven't really done any stitching.  We were REALLY lucky and had gorgeous weather.  It was warm enough not to need to wear jackets just short sleeves.  Now I am home I have a lot of blog reading to catch up.

Hopefully I shall get some stitching done this week even if it is only on the dreaded football logo lol.

Until next time, happy stitching

Tusal / Stitching Progress

Another month another late Tusal post but better late than never. It is mainly orts from my stitching on Mini Ariadne who I absolutely love stitching on.

I have completed another page on her.

Page 5 completed.
Design as a whole
I will be working on the football logo next after I am trying to fill in the odd stitches on Mini Be Good for Goodness sake. In my inexperience I have odd stitches here and there so am trying to fill them in.  There are about fifty of them yuck.

Until next time, happy stitching

I hope this looks okay as I am using my tablet because my computer is poorly. PS it looked awful so have borrowed my mum's laptop and edited it.  Anybody know how to post on a Samsung tablet?

Next up is my progress on my HAED 2013 Freebie SAL QS Literate Dragon.

I am now working on HAED Mini Ariadne and just loving it.

Tusal

This is how my Tusal jar looks today.  A day early and not a lot of change since my last picture.  I am blaming Wimbledon.  I watch tennis most of the year round thanks to Eurosport but whenever Wimbledon is on it seems I can't stitch and watch tennis like I do most other weeks.  I am actually a day early but I thought better late than never.

Since I have no stitching to show you I thought I would show you a little of my garden.  This is my favourite part of the garden.  I called it may mad bed because everything seems to have gone mad this year!

A close up my roses.  This rose is from a cutting taken from my nan's garden who died when I was about four, so it is very special.

This next rose belonged to my husband's nan and was in the garden when we moved in.  It was given to his grandparents on their silver wedding anniversary so again a special rose.

This next rose is a cutting from a rose I brought my mum when I was younger for mother's day called something to do with mothers it called be Mother's Day but I am not sure.

Last but no least my dwarf, ha ha, lavender and my summer bedding pots which if I do say so myself are looking great this year.

I caught the Lily napping in the garden last night in the shade.  At first I thought there might be something wrong her as she was flat out.

But as you can see she is fine.  Such a beautiful cat, in my opinion.

Finally I cannot let this historic day go by without mention of Andy Murray who has won Wimbledon today the first British man in 77 years.  Not one of my favourite players but today he played awesome and deserved to win.  Well Done Andy!

Until next time, when I hope to share my progress on my HAED BB SAL QS Literate Dragon, happy stitching.

Woohoo!

First of all I am really really really late posting a picture of my TUSAL.  I took the picture on the right day just never got round to posting it.

I have finally finished the first page of the HAED BB 2013 SAL.  I am so pleased with how this looks.  I had a bit of a meltdown with it on Friday I thought I was never going to get it finished but with some kind words of some ladies on Facebook and the IHSW I have done it.  I am going to stitch on page three next as it is quite a small page.

Not quite sure whether I am going to stick with this or hubby's football logo next week.  I know what I should be stitching but will see how the mood takes me.

Until next time, happy stitching

Tusal / New Charts

I have been stitching on my hubby's logo this week but will show it when I have finished the page, hopefully not too long.

This is my orts for this month, mainly from Ariadne, but a few blue colours from the logo.

I have been VERY lucky recently and received some RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness).  The first one from Sally for sending her some crescent colours she needed for a chart.  Thank you so much Sally although you shouldn't have done.  It is a Heaven and Earth Design ornament called Woodhouse Christmas.

I was also lucky to receive this chart from a lady on Facebook.  I had asked if anybody knew the name of the chart describing it as a mother and son wearing stripey colours and she was able to name it for me and also gifted me it.  Thank you Liz.  It is a Heaven and Earth Design called Fairy Sitting.

I also received this gorgeous Santa from the "Christmas Elf" it is an Heaven and Earth ornament called Christmas Dreams on the day after my birthday.

I have also treated myself to this one.  A designer I missed first time round on Heaven and Earth Designs but she has now signed back up so grabbed this one quick in the 45% sale.  Although I had been trying to resist buying myself anything as I have a fair bit of stash as it is lol.

Thank you again to all those that take the time to leave me comments.  I really do appreciate them and it really does make my day that people are interested in my stitching.  I don't say thank you enough.

Until next time, happy stitching

Tusal

Just a quick post from me today to show my orts for the Tusal.  Mainly pinks and lilacs from my Heaven and Earth Design Mini Ariadne.  I am still stitching on her at the moment and have about half a page left until page 3 is finished.  Page 4 is only a partial page and then the top row will be complete.  I really am loving stitching on her and can't seem to put her down!  I actually managed to take this picture outside as a strange orange ball has appeared in the sky apparently it is called the sun which we haven't seen for some time.  I am hoping the weathermen/women have got the forecast right for the weekend as they are saying we should have some warm weather.

I still need to put some stitches into hubby's football logo which still hasn't happened oops!

Until next time, happy stitching

Tusal / Lucky Girl!

I would like to thank you all for your kind birthday wishes on my last post they were very much appreciated.

First up is my Tusal for March.  A few days late but looking very full.  The top few layers are from my HAED chart Ariadne.

Early this year I joined a blog set up by Angela for people to send RAKs to one another and I was lucky enough to receive one from Mouse this week.  Thank you Mouse.  I love it.  I couldn't get a picture of the lovely scissor charm but they are so cute.

The inside of the box where I am going to keep my needes as they come in little packets so this box will be ideal.

I have also received a birthday gift from Sally.  Thank you so much Sally I absolutely love it.  I feel really honoured to receive gifts stitched by some lovely ladies throughout the last few years.  Your friendships mean the world to me.  Thank you.

I am not going to post a picture of my progress on Ariadne because I am hoping to finish the page in the next week so will leave it until then.

Until next time, happy stitching

New Year/New Start/New SAL

Happy New Year to everyone.

I have lots to share so will get on with it.

Firstly it has become a bit of a tradition of mine to have a new start on 1st January every year.  This year whilst discussing this with my stitching sister, Angela, we decided to start a new SAL, our third one for this year lol.  We decided on Lizzie Kate's Snow Belles.  So on 1st January I duly started Snow Belles and have managed to get the first block done.  We are hoping to stitch a block a month.

I am a bit disappointed that you can't see the words at the top very well so I might outline them but will wait and see how the others come out.

At the end of the year I emptied my ort jar which is also a bit of a tradition.  This is what it looked like on 31 December.  It is now ready for the 2013 Tusal which is run by Daffycat.  Pop over if you want to find out more details.

I also promised you pictures of the gorgeous Christmas gifts I received from Angela and Elaine and here there are.

Gift from Angela

Next in my rotation is another new start from the HAED Bulletin Board 2013 SAL which I will show you next time.

Until next time, happy stitching

Elisa's RR / TUSAL / IHSW

It was International Hermit and Stitch weekend this weekend and although I didn't get to stitch as much as I would have liked I did get my block on Elisa's RR finished.  This is my block from the top of the lady's hat upwards.

This is the whole design which is now going back to Elisa to finish the top bit of the design.  I hope you like Elisa.

Lastly, and late again, because I forget to post mid week when it is time for the Tusal, my Tusal.

I am off to stitch a Christmas present now and hopefully I will get to stitch my monthly ornament SAL with Angela too, if I can get enough stitchy time in this week.

Until next time, happy stitching

A RAK!

I received a surprise RAK, Random Act of Kindness, this week.  Th lovely Angela surprised me with this gorgeous Halloween pillow.  It is Fright Night by Lizzie Kate stitched on 32ct Pearl Grey Belfast Linen using the recommended DMC threads.  Isn't it gorgeous.  Thank you again Angela.  I am looking forward to putting it in pride of place when I get my Halloween decorations out and will treasure it always.

I thought I would also show a picture of my orts since I have again missed the TUSAL date and am posting late.

I am working away on Michelle's RR and hope to get it completed bearing in mind it is IHSW.  I hope everyone manages to get some stitches in.

Until next time, happy stitching

Tusal - September

I am late, again, with my Tusal picture.  It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have the dates on my blog.  But here is my Tusal for September.  Mainly the orts added are from Ariadne who has seen a bit more progress this week but not enough to share a picture.  My stitching has been a bit intermittent this week and I haven't done much.  I couldn't stitch my ornament as I didn't have any suitable fabric but have now received that from Sew and So so will stitch that this week and my hubby's CFC logo will probably see some action too.   That's the plan but we will see.

I have attempted another finish and have attached a picture.  It is CCN's Merry and Bright finished as a flat ornament again using Angela's tutorial.  I do not like finishing particularly and it is not helped by the fact that I don't think I am much good at it either.

I had to give in and put the heating on this week as it has definitely turned colder in my neck of the woods.

I hope the pictures are okay as I had had to use my phone as my camera seems to have died.

Until next time, happy stitching xxx
