FINISHED!!!!!!!!!

I have finally finished Mini Possibilities Eveelution Rainbow.  The artist is Walking Melons and it was charted by Heaven and Earth Designs.

I started this project on 1 January 2019 for my New Year New Start.  My eldest son, Andrew, picked it.  I managed to finish three pages in 2020, seven pages in 2021 and then finished the last nine pages this year in the hope of finishing it before he graduates his Masters degree. I think he finishes his course at the end of this month and hopefully his graduation (fingers crossed he passes) will be in November.

It now needs to have a good wash (it is filthy) and then to go and be framed.

Thank you for looking and happy stitching

Page Finish

I can't believe I have finished another page in three weeks.  To be fair it was blocks of colour but I am still really pleased.  My fastest page finish ever lol.  I am really hoping that I might be able to finish this row before the year end so we shall see.

Until next time, happy stitching.

Lizzie Kate Finishes

I had two Lizzie Kate finishes in December 2020.

The first one was Cat Lessons for People which I stitched for my friend's 50th birthday.  She reintroduced me to cross stitching so I thought it was appropriate to stitch her something and she loves cats.  I have been meaning to stitch her something for quite a few years.

The second finish was the Spirit of Christmas mystery SAL that I started in 2018 and finished it on 27 December 2020.

 Happy stitching

Mini The Possibilites Eveelution Rainbow

I started this project on 1 January 2019 for my eldest son with the aim of finishing it for his graduation.  I finished page one in May 2019.  I didn't finish page two until May 2020 and page three on August 2020. I finsihed page four on 1 January 2021, page five on 7 February 2021, Page six on 17 March 2021, page seven on 23 April 2021,page 8 on 15 May 2021.  May son received his BA Hons in Fine Art in July 2021 but luckily for me he is working towards his Masters so I am hopefully going to get it finished by the time he graduates in December 2022 (that is the plan!).

I finished page nine on 28 September 2021.

This is the whole project as it stands at the moment.

I will be back with more of what I have been stitching in the next week or two.

Happy Stitching

Life Events

In the time that I have been away from blogging I turned 50.  I had a small party with family and asked a cake maker if she could make me a cross stitch cake and this is what she made me.  I didn't really want to cut it up but it tasted as good as it looked!

We also had a new addition to the family.  A little girl born to my nephew and his wife called Daisy-Mai Patricia-Anne and I made her the ornament below from Little House Needleworks for her first christmas (a tradition of mine).  I am pleased to say it was well received by Mum and Dad and Daisy of course.

In my next post I will post some of the wips I have been working on.

Happy stitching

Stepping back into the land of blogging!

I know it has been a while and a lot has happened since I last posted but as this came up in my Facebook memories as being four years ago! I thought I would share it on my blog with the hope that perhaps I can upload every couple of months.

This is my last finished Heaven and Earth Design - Mini Ariadne. She was framed four years ago and I am really pleased with her but so sad that I haven't finished any others.  I have quite a few wips and some new starts since I last posted but I will show them next time.

Since I last posted I have been made redundant but was lucky enough to get another job after about six months of looking.  It is a full time job and cuts into my stitching time quite a bit but I try to get some done mostly at the weekends and sometimes in the evenings once or twice a week.

My eldest son graduated this year and my youngest son is Assistant Head Chef at Zizzis.  I am so very proud of the young men they have become.

I will be back soon with an update and to show you my new wip.

Happy stitching

Page 3 of Hope Finished

On 4th April I finished page 3 of Hope by Melanie Delon.  My stitching mojo is still intermittent at best but I am hoping it is back, fingers crossed.

I am going back to page 2 now as for the HAED Challenge I had to start a completely new page.

Hopefully I will be back soon with another update.

Keep Stitching

Hope - Melanie Delon

I am sorry I haven't been blogging but my stitching mojo has been missing for most of the year.  I have just finished the first page on Hope which is a HAED design with the artwork by Melanie Delon.  I started this design on 3rd January 2016 and finished the page on 6th December 2016.

I hope to be back with another page update soon.

Keep stitching

I am sorry I haven't been around but my blogging bug seems to have gone missing but I wanted to post my latest finish as you were all here when I started it.

I finished Mini Ariadne today, 2nd January 2016.  I am really pleased with how she has turned out and will miss stitching her.  I think I started stitching here in March 2013.

I am hoping to start my next HAED in the next few days.

Happy Stitching

Mini Ariadne Update

I am sorry I have not been back sooner but my blogging mojo seems to have done a runner.  I am stitching albeit not as much as I used to but am hoping soon my stitching mojo will come back properly.

I want to thank you all for your kind words on my last post. They really mean the world to me, thank you.

Since January 2015 I have been stitching on Mini Ariadne but have only managed to finish two pages so far.

I hope to be back next week with some progress on Colours of Spring, Paine Free Crafts chart, as I am stitching it as part of the Quest to finish a UFO on Facebook.

Heartbroken

I have been meaning to post for a couple of months now but unfortunately my blogging mojo seems to have taken an extended break.

I lost both my stitching mojo and blocking mojo last year but have been stitching recently so will be back to show off my stitching soon.

I am heartbroken as yesterday, 10 February, my darling mother passed away and I will never see her again and just cannot believe it.  She has been ill but we thought we had much longer with her but it seems not.

I am sorry to post such a sad post and will be back shortly with more about my stitching.

Hugs

Birthday Gift!

I had another birthday last week and received two parcels from fellow stitchers.  A BIG THANK YOU to Michelle and Sally.  I love both of your gifts and thank you for them and your friendship.

Firstly, in no particular order, a beautiful pillow from Sally.

From Michelle I have received a lovely pattern and some gorgeous fabric.

I had a lovely couple days off and went shopping with my Mum and Sister.

My stitching mojo seems to be on a bit of a holiday although I did get a bit done yesterday until I coloured all the blocks in on my tablet by mistake and that put me off a bit as it means I have got to work out which stitches I need to do.

Thank you again to both Michelle and Sally for my gifts.

Until next time, when I hope to have some stitching to show you, happy stitching.

Valentine Surprise!

I don't normally get a Valentine's gift but this one is not from my husband, he's not that romantic, but this one is from Michelle.  It is really gorgeous.  I am sure my photo doesn't do it justice.  Thank you ever so much Michelle.  Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone in the UK is safe.  The weather has been terrible and many have been flooded.

I was hoping to show some stitching but since the Winter Olympics has been on I don't seem to be able to stitch, most unlike me.  I hope my mojo comes back soon.

Until next time, happy stitching

Page Update and Tusal

Firstly I would like to thank you so very much for all the lovely comments on my framed Mini Be Good for Goodness Sake.  I can't tell you how much it made my day to read them.

I have finished the first page of Ornament Christmas Dreams and am very happy with it only another eight pages to go!

Heaven and Earth Designs Ornament Christmas Dreams

It is also time to show my Tusal jar again.  This is a SAL organised by Daffycat and if you click the link it will tell you all about it.

I am currently back to stitching on Mini Ariadne and will be back when I have completed the page I am working on.

Until next time, happy stitching.

Back from the Framers!

I took Mini Be Good for Goodness Sake to the framers on Monday.  They said it would be about a week before it would be ready.  Okay I thought no problem but had a phone call on Wednesday to say it was ready.

As is normal the photo doesn't really do it justice.  I am so very pleased with it.  Just waiting for my Dad to put a nail in the wall at the top of my stairs so he can be put up, all year round.

I am currently working on my Ornament Christmas Dreams and have nearly finished the page!

Until next time, happy stitching

Mini Ariadne

I had an unexpected day off on Friday due to the gas man needing access into the house gas so I decided to sit and stitch the day away whilst watching the Australian Open Tennis.  A very lovely day if I do say so.  I managed to complete page 6 of Mini Ariadne and am delighted with how she is looking.  This page contained a large amount of Kreinik and despite my misgivings I got on fairly well with it and thinks it looks okay.  Not sure if you can see it.

I have missed a couple of Sundays on my Santa SAL so am going to stitch on it to make up for the days lost so will post a picture next week.

Until then, happy stitching.

Santa Sunday SAL.

I don't normally post in between pages progress but since it was such a sunny but cold day today I took the opportunity of taking my new start out for a progress picture.

Not a huge amount of progress for five nights of work but it was quite confetti heavy.  As the title of this post suggests I will be stitching on this on a Sunday as part of a Santa Stitchalong on Facebook.  We are all stitching a Dona Gelsinger artwork piece from Heaven and Earth Designs.

I am now going to stitch on Mini Ariadne as it has been quite a while since I have stitched on her.

Please stay safe if you have the awful weather I have heard about.

Until next time, happy stitching

January Tusal!

Happy New Year to you all. I hope 2014 will be a good year for everyone.

Here is my Orts jar at the end of December. I have put these all in a bauble and now have an empty jar which I haven't photographed.

I have started my New Year New Start. It is a Heaven and Earth ornament design called Christmas Dreams. This is what it should look like when it is finished.

This is my start, not a lot.

I have been thinking about my stitching in 2014 and I am not going to set any strict goals but would like to finish the above ornament which I think if I stitch on it every Sunday it should be doable. I would also like to make significant progress on Mini Ariadne. I will stitch on Mini Rose during the Olympics and hope to finish page one. If I can do this I will be very happy at the end of 2014.

Until next time, happy stitching.

Merry Christmas and a Finish!

I have been stitching like a mad woman and have finally finished my first Heaven and Earth Designs chart. To say I am thrilled would be an understatement. I loved stitching this piece apart from page 2 where I had a little wobble and vowed never to stitch on it again. But I put my big girl pants on and filled all the silly little squares I had left, lesson learnt, and soon got into the swing of it. So without further ado my I present Mini Be Good for Goodness Sake, artwork by Dona Gelsinger, chart by Heaven and Earth Designs. I stitched it on 18ct magic guide aida using 2 threads over one square.

I was also very honoured to be asked to stitch a square on Sally's 50th Birthday quilt. I hope Sally doesn't mind but I have borrowed her picture of the completed quilt and my square. Lainey and Mouse organised this lovely surprise for Sally with Mouse making up the quilt. Thank you both for asking me to take part. I stitched Littlehouse Needleworks Joy and Peace which I thought was very appropriate given Sally's love of sheep.
I would like to end this rather long post by wishing all my readers a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. I really do appreciate you taking the time out to visit my blog and leave me a comment. They really make my day. Love Lesleyanne xxx

Chelsea Logo Framed & Tusal

I have now collected my husband's birthday gift from the framers.  I am very pleased with how it has come out and he was thrilled when I gave it to him yesterday.

It is also Tusal time again with Daffycat.  Here are my orts, lots of blue from the Chelsea logo and on top of that there is some threads from Mini Be Good for Goodness Sake which I am going to work on for the foreseeable future as I only have three partial pages which are very confetti heavy.

Until next time, happy stitching
