A fellow stitcher on the HAED BB shared that it was a tradition of hers to start a new piece for the Olympics and there were quite a few ladies from some HAED Facebook groups that caught onto the idea and were starting something new. Not me I thought I do not need a new start. But my will power being what it is I found myself Friday afternoon going through my charts to see what threads I had for which chart. It turned out I had quite a few of the threads needed for the first page for Mini Rose by Rachel Anderson. So the idea is to work on this through the Olympics and have it finished by the next Olympics.
So here is what Mini Rose will look like when it is finished
and my progress so far
Not as much as I would have liked as I have been unwell with suspected food poisoning and for a couple of days didn't feel much like doing any but since I have taken my two boys clothes shopping today and as any mum of boys will tell you it is not fun I think I deserve an evening of stitching lol.
I would like to thank you all that left comments on my previous post it really meant a lot to me, thank you.
Until next time, happy stitching
Love Lesleyanne

You've chosen a beautiful design for your Olypic project and made a great start on it too.
I have an Olympic start but I chose a small design with the aim of finishing it before the end of the closing ceremony.

That's an awesome design and you made an even better start on it =)
Looking forward to see your work on it =)
I resisted starting something new, maybe because I don't have so many colors (there are some 40 here who need winding...) and by now I think it's to late to start something new as an Olympic start ;-)
But I am curious to see how much everyone managed to stitch during the games =)
You've made a great start on your piece! I hope you're feeling better and life gets back to normal for you. My sympathies on the news of your uncle's passing.

Beautiful new start, Lesleyanne--and yes, back-so-school shopping with boys is quite a chore!! Hang in there--they will soon be in school and you will have more free time again :)

Gorgeous chart, Lesleyanne! So happy you have an Olympic start too....looking forward to watching your progress! :)
I've always admired this design but have never seen it stitched up - if it stitches up as pretty as the picture I will be sorely tempted to buy it!
